My New Disney Bowler Bag & Tote

This weekend I made my ADRs for my upcoming Walt Disney World trip! As I slowly edge closer, I've started to gather together things I'll need for my next trip. I received several discount codes for the DisneyStore.com in my email over the last couple months, so I decided to use one of them to pick up a new Disney cinch bag.

Last trip, my beloved Disney Vacation Club cinch tote met its demise at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party :( I had not yet replaced it, and I fell in love with this 2017 Walt Disney World Cinch Tote:

I'm going to have to try real hard to keep it clean since it's white, but I absolutely love this bag! It's made of canvas, not polyester, so I'm hoping it will be much more durable than my last cinch tote, which ripped at the stitching across the bag. The straps have adjustable metal buckles and are attached at the outside, not rope straps through metal holes that can rip through the corners of the bag. I have hope that this tote will last much longer than my others!

I love the stars in the background, the retro Walt Disney World logo, the beautiful four park icons, and of course Sorcerer Mickey. I think this is a fabulous design! And they really did think of everything when designing it, there's even a zip down the side so people can get in and out of my bag without me taking it off. I am always the pack mule on our trips!

So the cinch tote was a necessity, my other purchase alongside it wasn't. I also picked up this It's A Small World Bowler Bag:

I LOVE retro style (as well as 50's music, I was born in the wrong decade) and I'm a fan of It's A Small World, so this bag is an incredible combination! I love the cute logo, the bag is a beautiful color, and a great size.

The back has a pocket that does not fasten, great for putting boarding passes in if you're traveling on a plane. I will be using this as my purse when we fly down.

Here's a side view showing the beautiful turquoise and sea foam green colors of the bag, as well as the double zip.

And lastly, look at this gorgeous surprise on the inside! The lining has these adorable icons from It's A Small World!!! I'm in love! This purse is so well designed, and I love it even more in person, I am so glad I bought this!

This bag also reminds me of Cabana Bay Beach Resort over at Universal Orlando. I plan to use this bag when I stay there for a few days before Disney. I think the Small World Travel insignia is subtle enough that it doesn't scream Disney, and the retro style will fit right in!

Both of these items are currently available at the DisneyStore.com and may also be available at the Shop Disney Parks App.

runDisney Virtual Running Shorts Series

The runDisney Virtual Running Shorts series is back and this year's theme is centered around Pluto! The Virtual Running Shorts series is a set of three 5K virtual races where you can run, jog, or walk around your neighborhood, on a treadmill at the gym, around Walt Disney World Resorts - wherever you want, whenever you want at your own pace. This year, in honor of Pluto, Disney is encouraging participants to run with their favorite four-legged friend.

There are three individual race windows, each with a different commemorative finisher medal spotlighting elements of Mickey’s No. 1 pup. Run all three of the 5K races within the completion timeframe and you’ll also receive a Virtual Running Shorts Series Finisher Medal.

For the final virtual 5K of the summer, take home a medal inspired by Pluto’s dog house (pictured second from right).

If you run all three 5K distances within the allotted timeframe, you can also earn the Virtual Running Shorts Series Finisher Medal, which combines all of the fun Pluto-themed elements from the individual medals (pictured right). In addition, the celebratory charity is Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando, who are celebrating 80 years of saving pets in Central Florida.

You can register now over at runDisney's website. Each race is $40 or $142 for the series.
