My New Disney Bathing Suits!

If you've been around this blog for a while, you know how much I love Hot Topic for Disney merchandise! Don't get me wrong, I love the Disney Store too, but Hot Topic always seems to have more offerings for women and let me tell you, the deals they have pretty frequently are incredible! Here's an example:

I went to my local Hot Topic last weekend because I had a 30% off coupon for being in Hot Topic's loyalty program. When I got to the store, they were offering an in-store deal on swimwear - buy one get one free. I thought to myself, "My 30% off is a better deal, so I'll go with that", I only came in for one swimsuit and already knew what I wanted. I got to the checkout and the sales assistant said "You get one free, we have a sale right now" I said "Thanks for letting me know but I have a coupon I'd like to use instead". He said "You can use that too, go pick out something else!" So I did, and while I was at it, I got a bikini too!

The above picture is the swimsuit I wanted. It's the Peter Pan Mermaid Lagoon Retro Swimsuit and I am so in love with it! The straps are adjustable and removable so you can wear it as a halter, racer back, or strapless.

For my free swimsuit with that purchase, I got a Jack Skellington swimsuit, although I did consider the The Little Mermaid swimsuit because it was just so cute as a one piece! But I already have a Little Mermaid bikini. Hopefully Jack won't be too hot being black.

So of course with such good deals, I couldn't say no to buying another swimsuit I'd been eyeing. I intended only to buy the Mermaid Lagoon swimsuit so then I'd have two swimsuits at home: a bikini and a one piece. But with these great savings, I went ahead and bought a bikini I was in love with - Moana!

I can't decide which I love more, the Moana bikini or Peter Pan one piece! I absolutely love how I look in the Moana bikini, it is GORGEOUS! (You can find the top here and bottoms here). Sadly I don't get to go swimming often. We don't have a pool, or a neighborhood pool, and I live really far from the beach. It will probably be my next Disney trip before I get to wear these but I will look super cute when I do! And now I won't have to buy any more bathing suits for a while ;)

Mickey Mouse Memories - May Collection

To celebrate decades of the original icon Mickey Mouse, the Disney Store is releasing a new exclusive collection on the third Saturday of the month, every month, all year long in 2018. Each monthly release will feature a Mickey plush, pins, and a mug with a new theme.

I've been posting each month's release in this collection since January, and today marks the release of May's collection, inspired by Space Age motifs of the 1950s. A Mickey plush, pin set, and mug are available for purchase in Disney Stores and Shop Disney, retailing from $16.95 to $24.95.

We have also been given a preview of next month's release, "inspired by peace, love, and tie-dye of the 1960s". The June collection will be released on June 16.
