runDisney's Virtual Running Shorts 2018

The runDisney Virtual Running Shorts series is back for a third year and this year's theme celebrates Pixar (although with just one Pixar film represented, I think it's Incredibles themed). The Virtual Running Shorts series is a set of three 5K virtual races where you can run, jog, or walk around your neighborhood, on a treadmill, at the gym, or even around Walt Disney World Resorts - wherever you want, whenever you want at your own pace.

There are three individual race windows, each with a different commemorative finisher medal representing characters from the Incredibles. Run all three of the 5K races within the completion timeframe and you’ll also receive a Virtual Running Shorts Series Finisher Medal.

I participated in the Virtual Running Shorts last year and really enjoyed it! I was so glad that I did having passed on it the year before. You can read my review of the Virtual Running Shorts series here and you can read about each of my individual 5k races here.

Virtual Running Shorts 5K – June
The June race has a completion timeframe of June 1-30 and earns the first medal of the series, which celebrates Elastigirl (pictured far right).

Virtual Running Shorts 5K – July
For July’s 5K race, the completion timeframe is July 1-31 and the medal commemorates Mr. Incredible and Violet (pictured second from right).

Virtual Running Shorts 5K – August
For the final virtual 5K of the summer, take home a medal featuring Jack Jack and Dash (pictured left). The completion timeframe is August 1-31.

If you run all three 5K distances within the allotted timeframe, you can also earn the Virtual Running Shorts Series Finisher Medal, which features the logo of the upcoming Pixar film The Incredibles 2 (pictured second from left). In addition, the celebratory charity is the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida.

You can register now over at runDisney's website. Each race is $40 or $142 for the series.
