Disney Store Outlet Fun Finds

I've spent the last two months on a temporary duty assignment with the Air Force which took me to a new city. The city I was living in for those 2 months happened to have a Disney Store Outlet! So of course, I stopped by on more than one occasion! On my last trip there before leaving I picked up a bunch of stuff (pictured below).

I got a 4th of July themed candle holder that holds three votive candles, a Haunted Mansion dish, a Mad Tea Party dish, a Mickey head succulent (something I wanted for a while but it disappeared quickly from ShopDisney), and an Up cosmetic case set which I realized after I got home also includes a super cute Grape Soda/Ellie badge compact mirror! I got everything pictured above for less than $30!!!

I love everything I bought, even though I was only searching for one of those items. I did see the cosmetic set online before and wanted it, but didn't think it would show up at the outlet. I also saw the dishes at Walt Disney World on my last trip. What will I do with them? I haven't decided yet but they were $3 a piece - I couldn't say no! I'm so happy with my fun finds!

Disney Wisdom - January Collection

Following the success of last year's Mickey Mouse Memories Collection, ShopDisney has introduced a similar collection for 2019 - the Disney Wisdom series. On the third Saturday of each month, every month through the end of the year, a new collection will be released based on a different character and inspirational quote.

Expect each month's release to be just as popular as the Mickey Mouse Memories Collection and be sure to place your online orders quickly or get in line at your local Disney Store because many items will sell out.

January's collection is inspired by Dumbo and features the quote, "The very things that held you down are going to carry you up, up, up" by Timothy Q. Mouse. A Dumbo plush, journal, pin set, mug, t-shirt and wall art have been released at Disney Stores and ShopDisney. Items in January's collection range from $16.95 to $26.95.

We've also been given a preview of February's collection inspired by Mushu from Mulan. Next month's collection will release on February 16.

Twice Upon A Year Sale Finds

I actually ended up buying a few things at the Twice Upon A Year Sale this year, well last year I guess now! I had my eye on some Christmas items that I knew would get marked down like a table runner, trivet, and melamine plates, all of which I snagged. There were also a couple of other great items I was able to score...

I knew this Christmas Spirit Jersey would get marked down, but the risk there was would they have any left by that time? And in my size? Well luckily for me the answer was yes! Only two remained - a small and an XL. I wear an XS in Spirit Jerseys so the small is a little big, but still I couldn't pass it up! The original price was $54.95 and it was marked down to $27.48! I also got a 10% military discount on top, bringing it under $25. How could I say no?!

It's super cute with the Christmas ornament and reindeer Mickey pattern. On the back in true Spirit Jersey style it says "Merry Christmas". My hair is so long right now it covers it but I'll be taking care of that soon once I leave active duty.

The last item I got was actually purchased online. It's Princess Tiana's sweater from Wreck It Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet. It was in store but not part of the Twice Upon A Year sale, however it was marked down 30% online. I had a gift card that was only good for online purchases at ShopDisney so I bought it there.

I thought the princesses' outfits in the movie were really cute and this plus Moana's "Shiny" tank were my favorites. (That tank was not marked down, sad times). I love New Orleans and Princess Tiana so I wanted to pick this up.

I love the sparkly dark green font and the cute, light green color of the sweater itself. It's a little hard to tell the color in this picture. For those interested in this sweater, I would go a size down. Usually I'm a size small but I ordered an extra small in this and it fits great! It's meant to be over-sized so I think if you get your usual size you will find the neck to be too big and the arms to be too long.

I'm too lazy to take pictures of my entire Disney Store haul but I did want to share those two tops I had wanted for a while!
