My Kingdom Couture Collection Review

The Kingdom Couture collection was released by Disney almost a year ago in April 2016. I instantly fell in love, but the prices were pretty ridiculous. I get that this is a couture line, it's more upmarket, it's fancier clothes, and it's not a line of graphic t-shirts. But there was no way I was paying $128 for a silk kimono!

I guess Disney realized they were reaching a little too far, because a short while later, the prices dropped on all Kingdom Couture items. $20-$30 was taken off the price of each piece, and while $60 is still a lot for a top, along came a 25% off weekend and I had a Visa gift card. I went ahead and bought the items I loved the most for a much more reasonable price.

This is the Fantasyland Draped tank top layered with a Fantasyland Castle tank top in Ivory underneath. These clothing items are super soft and the draped tank falls beautifully! They are super comfortable to wear and very stylish, with a subtle hint of Disney.

The three tank tops each have this castle logo embroidered on the bottom left side. It's a really cute Disney touch that isn't in your face and doesn't scream Disney.

This is the Fantasyland Castle Kimono, again with the castle tank top in Ivory layered underneath.
It's another pretty piece that's comfortable to wear, but not as soft as the draped tank top. I'm not wearing it in this picture, but I also have the Fantasyland Castle tank top in pink and I think that tank looks much better under the kimono.

Here's a closer look at the beautiful Cinderella Castle design on the back of the kimono. Again it's like a watermark so it doesn't scream Disney, but it's a really pretty touch.

All of these items have now been reduced even further so it's a great time to pick them up if you love this collection but don't want to spend a ton of money. The tanks are now $20 (cheaper than a women's Disney graphic tee), the draped tee is now $30, and the kimono is now $68 (from it's original price of $128).

Every Kingdom Couture item is currently on sale, and while not everything is an incredible saving, there's still savings to be had. I definitely have a budget and this collection can be very expensive, but I have never paid full price for one of these items. I highly recommend the Kingdom Couture Collection if you want more upscale Disney clothing, especially while some pieces are at a very low price.

March Magic 2017

March Magic is here again and I am super excited! I'm not really a college basketball fan but I am a huge Disney fan! I love that March Magic gives me a chance to get in on the fun of creating a bracket and being in a league, but in terms of teams I know and understand. I don't know who's good or who's likely to win in terms of college basketball, but I am familiar with every Disney ride and I have a pretty good idea of which team would win in a showdown.

For those who don't know, March Magic is when various Disney attractions "play" against each other in rounds to see which attraction will be a fan favorite for that year. Here's the official Disney bracket showing which teams are playing each other and on what date:

(Copyright Disney. You can click to make it bigger)

You can make your own bracket and follow along at home, or even get some friends together and make your own league competition. Voting for each round takes place on the Walt Disney World Facebook page where you comment which team you want to win. Winners are announced on that same page 12-48 hours later.

Not only can you create your own bracket and vote, but you can also get in on the fun by purchasing March Magic merchandise! There's posters, t-shirts, and water bottles with your favorite March Magic teams. Here are some of my favorite items:

As you can see, there are many t-shirts that I like! They all have numbers on the back corresponding to the year they were established. Some of them are really creative! If you also love a whole bunch of March Magic tees, there's a Buy More Save More offer when you use the code: MARCHMAGIC. Buy 3 or more tees receive 20% off, 5 or more tees to receive 25% off, or buy 10 or more tees to receive 30% off. There's also free shipping over $50 with the code SHIP50.

All of these items are Limited Release and are made to order. They are only available to purchase from Tuesday March 14, 2017 through Thursday April 13, 2017 and you will need to allow 3-5 weeks for delivery. (Disney Visa Cardholder discounts are not combinable with these limited release products).

My Latest Disney Clothing Purchases

As long term readers of my blog already know, and new visitors to my blog could easily figure out, I love Disney clothing! I am always looking for cute new Disney clothing to add to my wardrobe. Here's what I picked up recently:

I got this Moana kimono from Hot Topic during a flash sale. It's super comfy and has a great fit. I am currently obsessed with Moana so I really wanted this!

Here's a closer look at the detail, you can see Maui and his hook, some of his tattoo pattern, pretty flowers, and Moana sailing with Pua.

I also made some purchases at UNIQLO recently, who have a really neat Disney collection for kids and adults (inlcuding Marvel and Pixar). The above t-shirt is Snow White themed, with apples and the occasional poison apple in the design. I love it! I enjoy wearing this to work and subtly showing my Disney side.

I also got this plaid flannel shirt on sale at UNIQLO. It's super comfy and again, has just a hint of Disney flair.

Here's a closer look at the Disney detail: Mickey Mouse embroidered above the pocket with a Mickey head tag on the side. I am in love with my new Disney clothes!

My New Plush

Recently there was a Buy One Get One offer on plush at Disney Stores and the DisneyStore.com. I took this opportunity to pick up some plush I had wanted for a while...

For the first time I saw Bing Bong in our store and he smells so good! I really wanted him. Sulley was too cute and fluffy to pass up so I got him too. I really wanted Mike Wazowski but our store didn't have him. I've wanted a plush of Baby Dory ever since I saw Finding Dory so I was thrilled that they had her! I got Nemo to go with her :)

Our store sold out of Flash super quickly so I made sure to grab him when I saw him back in stock! He is poseable and super cuddly, not to mention hilarious. Pua is so stinkin' cute that I got him too. He is so soft! I love Disney Store deals!
